How it Works
The iVenture Australia Multi-City Flexi Attractions Pass promises savings of up to 40% off combined gate admission prices. You have almost 100 attractions across the entire country to choose from.
The product is purchased in increments of five, seven, or 10 tickets. You have three months to use the pass.
The pass is actually a plastic Smart Card, like a credit card, which you present to the attraction instead of paper tickets or booklets.
What’s Good?
The most useful thing about the iVenture Australia Multi-City Attractions Pass is the clear value you get from the product. You’ll save up to 40% on combined admission prices to so many top attractions, and that’s not a deal you’ll find on individual tickets.
Customers also appreciate the flexibility in choosing attractions. You don’t need to decide at the time of purchase; just pick and choose as you go. Please note that some activities do require reservations.
The pass is also really easy to use. Just present your Smart Card to the attraction and then you’re set for entry!
Especially for a product that covers an entire country, the duration of the pass is a nice feature. Three months is a good amount of time for locals and visitors alike.
Another nice feature is the full color map and guidebook that comes with the pass. It will streamline your planning process and cut down on extra work.
How Could the Pass Get Better?
The Australia Multi-City Flexi Attractions Pass only offers your choice of up to 10 different attractions. While this may seem like a lot, if you’re truly doing a nation-wide tour of Australia, you may want to do more. That said, if you’re only concentrating your excursions in one city, it would make more sense to purchase iVenture pass for Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast or Tasmania, or The Sydney Pass.
The pass also typically includes just general admission. If you want to see a special exhibit at a museum, or enjoy an animal encounter at a zoo, you’re paying out of pocket.
While some iVenture products in individual markets include extra discounts on shopping and dining, this product does not. You’re missing out on some savings.
There isn’t currently a map that allows you to look at all of Australia at once on the iVenture website. They do offer interactive maps on the site for each individual market, but it might be useful to see all of the attractions pinned on a larger map.
Get Your Money’s Worth
The most basic way to maximize the value of your pass is to visit all the attractions you’ve paid for. If you purchase a 10 attraction pass but only see eight or nine things, you’re not making up the cost of the product.
It can also help to use the pass to visit more expensive attractions. The pass calculates savings based on the pricier attractions, so you’ll save more the more you emphasize the gate price.
Insider Tips
Occasionally the pass allows you to skip the line on selected attractions. You’ll have to consult the individual market pages on iVenture to see which attractions offer this benefit, but it can be worth the saved time to check this out.
Periodically iVenture changes the attractions included with the pass, especially for this Australia-wide product. Be sure confirm online before your visit what’s included; don’t rely upon the pdfs of their guidebooks you’ll find online before purchasing. They can sometimes be outdated.
Be sure to budget in transit costs! For the most part, the pass does not include transportation across the country, so that’s an out-of-pocket cost you’ll need to account for when planning.
Where to Buy It
The Australia Multi-City Flexi Attractions Pass can be purchased online or over the phone through iVenture.
You may also purchase the pass in town once you arrive at a number of specified purchase locations. However, you will likely pay more for the pass than you would if you purchase in advance, online.
