The Brussels card is a perfect choice for museumgoers in Belgium’s capital. The pre-paid smart card gives you free admission to more than 25 museums, as well as free transportation on STIB busses, ferries, and the metro. The card is available for 24, 48, or 72 consecutive hours.

There are museums to suit every interest, from major fine arts museums, the Toy Museum, the hands-on Scientastic Museum, even the Museum of the Belgian Brewers and the Royal Museum of Central Africa, which celebrates African art, nature, and culture and explores Belgium’s complicated and controversial history in the region.

In addition to free admission at museums and cultural destinations, the card also includes discounts on several shops, restaurants, and guided tours, including the hop-on-hop-off city bus and a backstage tour of the Royal Monnaie Theater.

What Could get better?

The Atomium, Brussels’ iconic monument from the 1958 World’s Fair, is not included in the pass, but a 33% discount is available.

Get Your Money’s Worth

The free public transportation does not include lines 11 and 12 on the metro (the two that go to the airport) or the Noctis late-night network. Transportation to the National Botanical Gardens and the Wellington Museum also require a small surcharge.
