The Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, SkyDeck Chicago at the Sears Tower… these are all essential stops on any vacation to the Windy City, and the Chicago CityPASS is a great way to see them for almost half off and skip the ticket line. It’s no wonder that 99% of more than 300 customers said they’d recommend CityPASS to a friend.
Priced at $69 for adults and $59 for kids, the Chicago City Pass is a booklet with tear-out tickets that you can use any time within 9 days after redeeming the first ticket. You can also choose between the Adler Planetarium or the Art Institute of Chicago, and between the John Hancock Observatory or Museum of Science and Industry. Whether you’re interested in museums, art, science, or architecture, there are several options here.

Special exhibitions will cost extra at the Museum of Science and Industry.
Get Your Money’s Worth
Although you can only choose one of the bonus locations, your CityPASS does entitle you to discounted admission at the second location.
Your Shedd Aquarium admission also includes the special exhibitions Amazon Rising, Wild Reef, Abbott Oceanarium and Polar Play Zone, plus admission to the 4-D Theater Experience.
For an extra dollar, you can get admission to the next available Abbott Oceanarium aquatic show featuring whales, dolphins, and penguins.
The Chicago CityPASS lets you skip the line going up to the Skydeck Chicago (the Sears Tower Observatory), but not coming down, so that part can still be slow going.
It’s possible to see the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium in one day, and they’re near each other on South Lake Shore Drive. The Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry can be a full day each.
Look for the CityPASS logo at the far-right cashier desk for VIP admission at the Field Museum.
Look online for Adler Planetarium shows. Your CityPASS entitles you admission to two shows, and admission will be faster if you already know what you’d like to view.
