The Dublin Pass by the Leisure Pass Group offers unlimited admission to almost 30 of the Irish capital's most popular attractions for one low price. Available in increments of 1, 2, 3, or 6 consecutive days, it also includes "skip the queue benefits" so you'll save time as well as money. The Dublin Pass represents up to €145 in free admission, so with a 6-day pass at €95 (or €15 per day), that's €50 in possible savings on tickets alone.

You only have to visit a few attractions to reap the financial benefits, and at attractions where admission is normally free, the Dublin Pass is good for additional savings, like in the gift shop. The pass comes with 25 additional offers for savings and freebies at restaurants, pubs, gift shops, and on tours. You can also get free transportation from Dublin airport to the city center via AirCoach.

Many of the most popular attractions are within easy walking distance of the city center, so it's easy to see a lot in one day.

The pass is activated the first time you use it, and is good for however many consecutive calendar days you've purchased. It comes with a free guidebook, plus there is a Visit Dublin app for iPhone and Android to help with navigation and vacation planning.

    What's Good

  • The Dublin Pass includes one-way transportation from Dublin Airport to the city center.

Free attractions, like the National Gallery of Ireland, offer extra value add-ons with the Dublin Pass, such as discounts on dining and shopping.

    What Could Get Better

  • There aren't any tours included with the basic Dublin Pass. You'll have to purchase an additional sightseeing tour pass if you'd like to take a hop-on-hop-off bus tour.

A lot of major attractions in Dublin are already free, so do some research to make sure that the Dublin Pass is a good value for you.

Get Your Money's Worth

If your plans will include a lot of travel within the city and its surroundings, you can add a Rambler pass (good for 1, 3, or 5 days unlimited travel on Dublin city busses) or the 72-hour Freedom Ticket to your order (good for the hop-on-hop-off bus, all Dublin city busses, and the Airlink to or from the airport). These passes are also available at any Dublin bus ticket agent at the airport and around town, but the Dublin Pass sometimes has a discount and it can be convenient to order everything at once.

Insider Tips

The Dublin Pass is activated at the first attraction you visit, and that counts as your first full day of use—even if you activate the card late in the day for airport transportation. You'll get the most for your money by visiting your first attraction in the morning of your first full day of sightseeing.

The Dublin Pass site has a special smiley face symbol to designate family-friendly attractions for help when planning your itinerary.

If you use your card for transportation from the airport, that activates the card and counts as your first day of use. So if you're jet-lagged and planning to spend the day recuperating, skip this bonus and save your Dublin Pass for your first full day of sightseeing.

The lines at the Guinness Storehouse can be long, so make sure you take advantage of skip-the-line benefits.
